Overview
Lalique glass and a Mauchlinware egg timer are among the items bought by bargain hunters shopping in Lincolnshire. Presenter Tim Wonnacott visits Grimsthorpe Castle to learn how it was made fit for a king's visit in the 16th century; having satisfied bon viveur Henry VIII, the castle continued to enjoy its reputation for entertainment. At auctioneer Charles Hanson's sale in Derbyshire, Tim comes across a pair of Queen Victoria's bloomers, which he watches go under the hammer for more than 4,000 pounds.
